See Simply Red play their final shows this December.

In 2009 Mick Hucknall celebrated 25 years of unbroken service with the band he founded, fronted and named.

“Welcome to the final year of twenty five mind blowing years. What an adventure it has been! I could never have imagined my career would bring me so far. We want to share this closing anniversary with all the people who have enjoyed our sound throughout the years. Celebrate it and gently move on to the second half of a musical story. Simply Red emerged out of the streets and clubs of Manchester in the post-punk era of 1984 and within 12 months were riding in the British charts.The British soul band have sold over 25 million albums and after more than a quarter of a century this farewell tour will allow Hucknall to pursue solo opportunities and begin a brand new chapter in his musical career.
