The Armed Forces
In May 2010 a non profit organisation was set up buy 4 women linked by the armed forces. This organisation was set up to provide care parcels to our Forces Personnel serving abroad in difficult situations. Care parcels provide a much needed link to home and are a great way to boost morale.
Within a few weeks of this organisation being set up it was realised that an unprecedented amount of people were willing to support us and join up, and we grew beyond what any of us could ever have imagined. Several National companies have signed up to our cause and have been sending us goods to forward onto Forces abroad.
We decided two weeks ago to hold a launch party, this was to raise more awareness of our organisation and to celebrate armed forces day. It also co-incides with the army personnel based at chetwynd barracks Nottingham being deployed to afghanistan and several of the personnel based there will be attending.
The party is being held on the 26th June 2010 at 7.30pm at Jurys Inn Nottingham, it is being billed as Boxed Off and Flying. Tickets are priced at £12 per person with forces personnel going free. The price of the ticket includes buffet, disco and a complimentary ppcp.org.uk band.
We are being supported by the armed forces day organisation where our party is being publicised on their website.
